As per the report, The Core i9 7920X @ 2.9GHz is 400MHz slower than its other variant Core i9 7900X @ 3.3GHz. Core i9-7920X CPU is a 12-core chip with 24 threads & 16.5MB of cache memory, Core i9 7900X is a 10-core chip with 20 threads & 1.375MB/core of the cache Level 3.

Intel has refreshed specifications for the Core i9 7900X, which adds a Turbo Boost 2.0 with the frequency of 4.3GHz, a Turbo Boost Max 3.0 with the frequency of 4.5GHz, It can also support up to 44 PCI-e paths, a TDP of 140W and DDR4-2666 RAM. However, the details concerning to the memory, TDP and PCIe paths for the 12-core variant have not been confirmed yet.

The Core i9 7920X will accompany a sticker price of $1,189 and The Core i9 7900X will be attached to a sticker price of $999.
